This report from Ugandan organisations The Civil Society Coalition on Human Rights and Constitutional Law (CSCHRCL) and Human Rights Awareness and Promotion Forum (HRAPF) is a voice in the debate on the Anti-Homosexuality Bill.
The laws criminalising same-sex conduct in Uganda have been in existence since Uganda became
a British protectorate late in the 19th century. No single conviction or even acquittal (indicating
a full trial) has been found in the law books in Kampala in the last five years (2007 –2011), and
arguably none has ever been recorded in Uganda’s legal history. Nevertheless, the laws are used
every day to intimidate, harass, and degrade LGBTI persons.

Discrimination on the Basis of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity
in Access to Health Care and Violence/Bias.
This report is the compilation of two research projects initiated in 2012 as part of the Global Rights’ project, Increasing the Capacity of Sierra Leonean LGBTI Civil Society Organizations to Monitor, Document and Address Rights Violations in their Communities. This is the first report on discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity in Sierra Leone and represents a concerted effort by our partners Dignity Association and Pride Equality, whose knowledge and understanding of the unique challenges faced when collecting information in the local LGBTI community, allowed them to uncover data that could not have been collected otherwise.

This report from Amnesty International examines the state of violence against women and looks at people who experience violence because of their gender identity or sexual orientation in Tunisia, often considered the Arab world’s most progressive state for women’s rights and gender equality.
The report features interviews with survivors of sexual assault, rape, domestic violence and sexual harassment providing a comprehensive picture of the ongoing violence that continues to pervade Tunisian society.
The report also assesses existing laws which are failing to protect survivors of such violence, despite some positive steps taken by the authorities to promote gender equality and combat sexual and gender-based violence.
